This Privacy Policy explains how Aether Labs (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information across all mobile applications published by Aether Labs.

This policy applies to all mobile applications published by Aether Labs, including Retouchly and any future mobile apps we release.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate, maintain, and improve our apps.

Information you provide

Photos, images, or other content you choose to edit or upload
Prompts, labels, or instructions you enter while using AI features
Support requests or messages you send to us

Information collected automatically

App usage events, feature interactions, and basic diagnostic information
Crash reports and performance data
Device and app metadata such as app version, OS version, locale, and device model

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

Provide editing, processing, export, and sharing features
Operate AI-powered tools requested by you
Diagnose crashes, bugs, and performance issues
Improve app quality, reliability, and user experience
Comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse

4. AI Processing

When you use an AI editing feature, Retouchly sends only the photo you choose, your edit instruction or prompt, and optional mask or reference images required by the selected tool to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio / DashScope to generate the requested edit.

Images are processed only to fulfill the feature you requested
Edited results may be saved in your Retouchly library so you can view or download them later
We do not sell your photos or use them for advertising targeting
We do not use your photos to train Retouchly AI models

We may share limited data with:

Cloud hosting providers
AI processing providers, including Alibaba Cloud Model Studio / DashScope for AI edit requests
Analytics or crash-reporting providers
Payment and subscription providers

We only share what is reasonably necessary for the service to work.

6. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Original photos sent for AI processing are used to complete the request and are not stored in Supabase as original photo files
Edited results saved in your Retouchly library are retained so you can view or download them later
Crash logs and diagnostic data may be retained for a reasonable period to troubleshoot issues
You may delete local app data through your device or app settings where available

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk by limiting data collection and minimizing retention.

8. Children

Our apps are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Your Choices

Depending on the app and your region, you may be able to:

Stop using AI features that require cloud processing
Delete local app data and cache
Request support regarding your data

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted in this repository or in the app’s legal section when applicable.
