Introduction

Welcome to Somnia: Dream Insights (the "App"), developed and published by Aether Labs ("we", "us", or "our"). Your dreams are deeply personal. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Dream content: Titles, descriptions, moods, tags, and voice notes are stored locally on your device by default.
Optional analytics: With your consent, anonymous usage data may be collected to improve the app.
Training data (opt-in): If enabled in Settings, dreams may be used to improve AI quality. This is fully optional.

2. AI Processing

When you request a dream interpretation or visualization:

Dream text is sent securely via HTTPS to our AI providers to generate responses or artwork.
Data is processed ephemerally and is not retained beyond what is needed to deliver your result, unless you opt in to Training Data.

3. Data Storage

Dreams are stored on your device using secure local storage. Premium subscribers may enable Cloud Sync with end-to-end encryption.

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services for:

AI interpretation and image generation
Push notifications (optional)
Advertising (Google AdMob) for free-tier users — Premium subscribers do not see ads

These providers may collect limited technical data required to perform their functions.

5. Your Rights

You can export or permanently delete all dream data from Settings → Data Management at any time. You may disable analytics and training data at any time.

6. Children

Somnia is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
